The NEW AMERICAN FILMMAKERS National Film Tour is an a la cart package of 26 films produced by innovative, cutting-edge, and award-winning American immigrant writers, directors, and actors. The films -- all made within the last five years -- shed light on immigrant life and issues of family, sexuality, activism, discrimination, and love in the diaspora.
The mission of the NAF Film Tour is to showcase the talents of these gifted immigrant filmmakers and their contributions to contemporary American independent cinema. This program is co-presented by the Hawaii International Film Festival and the Vilcek Foundation.
