Program Staff
Joyce Li
Associate Program Officer, The Vilcek Foundation
As Associate Program Officer, Joyce manages the selection process for The Vilcek Prizes, coordinates the annual awards ceremony, and collaborates on the website, newsletter, and other general public relations matters.
Joyce gained her understanding of how to promote ideas as well as events from working in marketing and publicity in the book publishing industry. And as a daily editor for Baristanet.com, an experiment in civic journalism and hyperlocal blogging, she learned how new media can be used to change the way organizations connect with and serve their clients.
Joyce credits her travels and volunteer experiences abroad with giving her deeper insight into the immigrant experience. She graduated from Bard College with degrees in Creative Writing and Politics, and completed the post-graduate Columbia Publishing Course.
