Brian Cavanaugh

New Media and IT Coordinator, The Vilcek Foundation

As New Media and IT Coordinator, Brian Cavanaugh oversees the Vilcek Foundation’s new media initiatives, online presence, and IT support. Together with other staff members, Brian coordinates the Vilcek Foundation website, newsletters, and IT management systems. Brian has long been fascinated by the intersection between art and technology. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Digital Media from Albright College, and a Master of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute. While volunteering with Eyebeam Art and Technology Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing new media to the forefront of cultural production, Brian gained insight into the ways that technology can enable The Vilcek Foundation to share its mission with a broad audience, unbound by geographical borders.

  • 2012 Vilcek Prizes

    We applaud the recipients of the seventh annual Vilcek Prizes: Carlos Bustamante, PhD, winner of the Vilcek Prize for Biomedical Science, and Mikhail Baryshnikov, winner of the Vilcek Prize for Dance. We salute, too, Creative Promise Prize winners, Alice Ting, PhD, for Biomedical Science, and Michel Kouakou, for Dance.
